After months of practise, students from Charles Read Academy competed in the David Ross Education Trust’s (DRET) Kalisher debating finals.

Held at the Lakeside Theatre at the University of Nottingham, the event saw teams from across the trust’s secondary academies competing to win the title.

The team used their impressive persuasion skills to argue their case on issues that affect everyday life, with Ben Turner and Karrie Rogers taking home the Outstanding Potential Award.
