The Chase star Paul Sinha set to headline next Funhouse Comedy Club in Grantham
A TV and radio star is set to top the bill at a comedy night during the Christmas period.
Funhouse Comedy Club is back at the Guildhall Arts Centre Ballroom on Thursday December 28 for a night full of laughter.
Topping the bill is stand-up comedian Paul Sinha, who has appeared on ITV’s ‘Tonight at The London Palladium’ and is currently one of the ‘chasers’ on The Chase.
He is also the writer and presenter of Paul Sinha’s History Revision on Radio 4.
The former GP is described as “eloquent and intelligent” with the “perfect balance of mixing politics with comedy”.
Opening the night will be 2021 British Comedian of the Year Finalist, Scott Bennett who recently made his ‘Live at the Apollo’ debut and is “tipped in the industry as on the brink of the big time”.
He was also runner up in 2014 English Comedian Of The Year competition, Best Show Nominee Leicester Comedy Festival 2019 and has supported both Michael McIntyre and Rob Brydon.
This “Yorkshire live wire” has “an undeniable no nonsense logic”, and he managed to entertain people through the lockdown with his ‘Stand Up From The Shed’ online show.
Completing the line-up is Canadian stand-up, writer and actor David Tsonos and the “warm and light-hearted” Ben Ashurst.
Tickets are £14 in advance and can be bought here.
Compere for the night is the lively and likeable Spiky Mike.
Doors open from 7.15pm for an 8pm start.
