Operation Midland, which saw former MP Harvey Proctor’s home on the Belvoir Estate searched last year, has ended without any charges.

Scotland Yard announced yesterday the end of the investigation into claims that a VIP Westminster paedophile ring abused children in the 1970s and 1980s.

Former Conservative MP, Harvey Proctor, was among those accused of child abuse and murder, in the inquiry which has cost more than £1.8 million, the BBC reported.

Mr Proctor is calling for the resignation of four Met chiefs.
