Church’s peregrine family grows

THE peregrine family at St Wulfram’s Church is growing.

A further two eggs have been laid this week by the female peregrine, and the fourth is expected at any time. The birds of prey usually lay clutches of three or four eggs, so the little additions were expected, said Grantham Peregrine Project leader Bob Sheppard.

He added: “She will then incubate the whole clutch for a month. We will hopefully see little balls of fluff in the second week of May.”

Belton Garden Centre has donated a TV to the church to enable visitors to clearly see the live streamed footage of the family. The live feed, pictures and a blog can be found online at
