Homes sought for performers of Grantham's Gravity Fields

Have you a home for an acrobat?

Sue Hodgson, chairwoman of Grantham Business Club, made the strange request before last week√Ę s club meeting.

She had met Gravity Fields Festival organisers who told her they wanted accommodation for performers and artists as some prefer not to stay in hotels.

Gravity Fields Festival organisers have confirmed that they are looking for accommodation in September for some of the visiting artists and science exhibition contributors.

Eight students from Durham University also seek somewhere they can all stay together, and six artists from the Lost in Translation theatre and circus group are also looking for accommodation.

The students will be staying from September 26 to 29. The circus artists, delivering The Hogwallops show, need accommodation from September 24 to 29.

Staff at the arts centre, who are co-ordinating the search, have said that all offers will be considered.
