Jimmy Carr to bring his controversial humour to The Meres in Grantham
Controversial comedian Jimmy Carr is making a return to The Meres next year.
The comic is back with his Terribly Funny tour on Thursday, June 25, 2020.
As the publicity says: "Jimmy’s brand new show contains jokes about all kinds of terrible things. Terrible things that might have affected you or people you know and love. But they’re just jokes - they are not the terrible things."
Jimmy is best known for hosting and appearing on TV panel shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats Do Countdown, QI, and The Big Fat Quiz of the Year. The Hounslow-born comedian studied political science at Cambridge before starting a career in comedy.
In 2003 he sold out a month of gigs at the Edinburgh Fringe in just a few days and has been touring regularly ever since, performing before an estimated 1.5 million people.
He last appeared at The Meres in 2015. He was due to appear in 2017 but postponed his show to 2018 which was then cancelled due to filming commitments.
The show is not recommended for under-16s.
Tickets cost £30.50 and are available at www.guildhallartscentre.com or by calling 01476 406158.
