Assaulting a police officer and showing a blatant disregard for court orders land Grantham people in hot water

Grantham area defendants brought before magistrates recently include:

Kevin Wheeler, 30, of Oakleigh Road, Grantham: admits causing criminal damage to a Fiat vehicle in Grantham on June 23, 2020. He was discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay £80 in compensation and a £22 victim surcharge.

Arkadeusz Skorupa, 27, of Harlaxton Road, Grantham: admits failing to comply with a community order by failing to attend a planned unpaid work session on October 17, 2020 and failing to behave in an acceptable manner during a planned unpaid work session on October 31, 2020. He was dealt with for the original offences of assaulting a female by beating and assault of the same woman occasioning actual bodily harm. He was committed to prison for three months because of his disregard for court orders.

Daniel Kecka, 23, of Melbourne Road, Grantham: admits having in his possession a quantity of class B drug cannabis in Grantham on December 31, 2020. He was fined £273 and ordered to pay a £35 victim surcharge and £85 costs. The drugs were seized and ordered to be destroyed.

Daniel Noddings, 37, of HM Prison Lincoln: admits driving a Nissan Juke in Princess Drive, Grantham, on October 7, 2020 with 139 micrograms of drug benzoylecgonine per litre of blood. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge. He was banned from driving for 17 months.

Stan Catalin Costell, 30, of Sycamore Court, Grantham: admits failing to a comply with the requirements of a community order by failing to attend initial appointments on July 9 and 23, 2019. He was dealt with for the original offence of driving without insurance in Basildon, Essex, on June 2, 2019. Costell was made the subject of a community order including a rehabilitation activity requirement and 250 hours of unpaid work to be carried out within 12 months.

Toby Edward Martin Dawson, 23, of St Catherine’s Road, Grantham: admits failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by failing to attend a planned office appointment on November 25, 2020. He was fined £40 and an unpaid work requirement of the original community order removed because "it is unworkable”.

Wayne Kirby Doughty, 45, of no fixed address: admits stealing alcohol worth £86.50 from Sainsbury’s on February 17; stealing meat worth £137.08 from M&S Simply Food on February 23; and stealing alcohol worth £146 from Sainsbury’s on February 23. He was made the subject of a three-year criminal behaviour order prohibiting him from entering: any retail premises bordered by the railway line, London Road along the river boundary including Sainsbury’s, St Peter’s Hill, Watergate to Westgate, Brook Street stopping at Manthorpe Road, North Parade stopping at Gonerby Road, bounded by the railway line to Barrowby Road A52 roundabout including Asda, Sankt Augustin Way, Westgate and Wharf Road unless accompanied by a support worker or responsible officer, and with the exception of Lloyds the Chemist in High Street; any units in the Grantham Retail Park on Gonerby Road including The Range; and any retail premises in Lincolnshire for which he has received an official banning notice from staff or police. He was also ordered to pay £232.50 in compensation.

Liam Adam Carroll, 55, of Azimghur Road, Whatton: guilty of driving a Ford vehicle in New Beacon Road, Grantham, while not wearing a seatbelt, on July 4, 2020. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £90 costs.

Lidia Przezak, 63, of Harlaxton Road, Grantham: guilty of driving a Volvo vehicle without due care and attention in Melbourne Road, Grantham, on July 25, 2020. She was fined £80, ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs and her driving licence endorsed with six penalty points.

Janusz Sawicki, 52, of Norton Street, Grantham: admits driving a Volkswagen Passatt without due care and attention on Heath Lane, Grantham, on February 12, 2020. He was fined £270, ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs and his driving licence endorsed with five penalty points.

Sara Louise Chiltern, 21, of St Catherine’s Road, Grantham: admits assaulting a police officer by beating in Grantham, on December 20, 2020. She was made the subject of a community order including a curfew requirement with electronic monitoring banning her from leaving home between 8pm and 6am for one month and ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge.
