Lincolnshire Credit Union has set up a branch in Grantham Guildhall open to the public one day a week.
The branch was officially opened by the Mayor of Grantham Frank Turner last week and will be open to the public every Wednesday between 10am and 2pm in the Citizens Advice Bureau office.
Branch manager Meral Kendrick said: “The Credit Union is owned by its members and profits are paid out in dividends to the members. We are much cheaper than High Street lenders. We are responsible lenders and we do not go against bad debtors.”
The Union also gives budgeting advice and can help with paying bills and debts in a structured way.
