A fire crew from Grantham was called to reports of a building on fire in Bottesford at lunch-time yesterday (Tuesday).

They found a large quantity of garden foliage ablaze within a compactor skip when they arrived at the scene in Normanton Lane just after noon.

Firefighters used one hose reel, a main jet and drags. The fire was caused by a build up of heat within the unit.
