Crews tackle kitchen fires in Grantham

Fire crews have attended two kitchen fires in Grantham overnight.

Two crews attended a fire in a building on Westgate at 1am today together with a crew from Corby Glen. They used two hose reels, one main jet and breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire in a kitchen and roof space. The cause is under investigation.

Yesterday at about 6pm, a Grantham crew was called to a small kitchen fire on Stamford Street, Grantham. The fire was caused by cooking left unattended as the occupier had become locked out of the property.
