A MAN admitted stealing £20,000 of lead from the church in Leadenham.

Oliver Tordoff, 23, stripped the lead from the building between February 24 and 25 of this year.

He was committed to Lincoln Crown Court but his case is expected to move to Derby today (Friday) where he faces charges relating to a similar matter.

Magistrate Kevin Moody said: “You can expect quite a substantial period in custody I would have thought.”
