Rural crime will be on the agenda when the county’s new crime and police chief talks to parish councillors this month.

Police and Crime Commissioner Marc Jones and his deputy Stuart Tweedale have accepted an invitation from Ancaster, Sudbrook and West Willoughby Parish Council to take part in a meeting at Ancaster Parish Hall on Monday, August 15.

It is hoped another representative from Lincolnshire police will also attend the meeting, which will be chaired by Ancaster parish council chairman David Sayer.

Neighbouring parish councils are invited to join in to air concerns shared by people in rural areas.

The meeting is due to start at 7.30pm and will finish by 9.30pm.
