A DRIVER seen mounting the pavement by police was found to be twice the drink-drive limit.
Hollie Shaw, 26 of West Street, Barkston, was spotted by police in the early hours of October 23 after turning off Harlaxton Road onto Springfield Road.
Jill Derby, prosecuting, said Shaw “came round the corner taking a wide turn, nearly colliding with a car”.
She was then seen to mount the pavement before being stopped by police.
Giles Tyas, defending, said Shaw’s erratic driving could have been due to her being ill rather than the amount she had had to drink.
He added: “She felt she was fine after two glasses of wine but clearly she was twice the drink-drive limit.”
Shaw was banned from driving for 20 months and ordered to pay a fine of £300.
She was also ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £15 surcharge.
