TWO young men who were accused of dangerous driving look set to have their case discontinued.

Simon Brewin, 21, of Warmington Avenue, Grantham, and Byron Hayes-Fowler, 20, of Westry Close, Barrowby, were both accused of driving dangerously on the A52 at Barrowby on February 8.

Brewin had been driving a Vauxhall Vectra, and Hayes-Fowler a Ford Mondeo.

The Crown Prosecution Service asked magistrates sitting on Wednesday to grant an adjournment while they seek to have the proceedings against the pair discontinued.

Brewin and Hayes-Fowler will reappear at Grantham Magistrates’ Court on September 7.

They were granted bail on the condition they do not contact two named people.
