A Christmas Eve drink cost a man his driving licence.
Scott Sargent, of Harrowby Lane in Grantham, admitted a charge of drink-driving after being caught twice over the drink-drive limit.
Sargent was stopped by the police who witnessed him crossing his Vauxhall Corsa over the central reservation in Springfield Road in Grantham.
Defending himself, Sargent told the court: “I did wrong. I know that.
“I don’t know why I did it but I did. Whatever happens I deserve it.”
Sargent, 24, said he drove because he could not afford a taxi from a friend’s home.
He was disqualified for 20 months and fined £100. He must also pay costs of £85 and a surcharge of £15.
