A TEENAGER was given 40 hours community service as punishment for failing to work with the probation service.

Christopher Tucker, of Mallard Court, Grantham, attended only 14 out of a possible 33 meetings with probation so was brought back before the court.

He has also previously been sentenced to 120 hours’ community service. Tucker, 18, put much of his attendance problem down to forgetfulness.

Rob Arthur, defending, said Tucker, who lives at home with his mother “should not rely entirely on his mother to notify him of appointments”.

Tucker received 40 more hours of community service.
