A 50-year-old mum admitted breaching her ASBO after twice being found with an open can of lager in less than a week.

Jennifer Hill, of Shaw Road, Grantham, admitted the two breaches of her five-year anti-social behaviour order which was imposed by a district judge last year.

Stuart Wyles, defending Hill, said: “Miss Hill has abided by the order for 12 months.

“District Judge Blake, when he gave the order in October of last year, said she was quite a disgusting woman when she was in drink.”

Hill breached the order when she was twice spotted with an open can of lager by a member of South Kesteven District Council’s anti-social behaviour team.

Magistrates deferred sentencing for six months, giving Hill the chance to show she can remain within the law and kick her alcohol addiction. The court heard how she planned to take up a place offered at a rehab clinic in Nottingham.

A tearful Hill, 50, told the court: “I’m quite willing to go and get help. I have wanted help for years and it’s about time I sorted myself out. It’s only me that can do it.

“I want a new life. A new me.”
