Diesel worth over £9,000 stolen from Great Ponton services

A service station off the A1 was targeted by fuel thieves in the early hours of Friday morning, with 6,500 litres of diesel taken.

The crooks gained access to underground storage pipes at Great Ponton Services, and managed to siphon off the fuel worth more than £9,500.

It happened between 1.30am and 6am. Police are appealing for anyone who was at the service station during this time period and saw any suspicious activity or vehicles to call Pc David Holmes via 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
