A DRINK driver was caught after a tip off to police.

Jonathon Barr, 47, of Nene Court, Grantham, left a town pub and got behind the wheel of his Renault Laguna.

However, an anonymous phone call was made to police and Barr was arrested in Goodliffe Road, Grantham.

Barr admitted drink driving.

Rory McMillan, defending, told the court Barr had got into an argument with his boss and was drowning his sorrows after convincing himself he was out of a job.

Mr McMillan said: “He drove without thinking of the consequences.”

Barr was banned from driving for 18 months and fined £100.
