A WOMAN ended up hitting a police officer twice after he had helped her retrieve some belongings and given her a lift home.

Elizabeth Taylor, 47, of Thames Road, Grantham, admitted being drunk and disorderly on December 3.

Jim Clare, prosecuting, said Taylor was acting fine with the officer as he gave her a lift to her house after a row with her partner but she flipped when she released her door was locked.

She started shouting and swearing and struck him, then she calmed down before doing it again.

Taylor, who was fined £100 plus costs, apologised to the court.
