Factory worker Patrick Fehily was caught behind the wheel with no driving licence.
Fehily, of Stirling Way, Skellingthorpe, admitted driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
Kate Macmillan, defending, said Fehily only got behind the wheel because his partner suffered a panic attack.
Fehily was fined a total of £285 and must pay costs of £85 and £20 surcharge. Six points were also put onto his provisional licence.
