An 18-year-old has pleaded guilty to possessing a offensive weapon in the form of a bottle, and using threatening words or behaviour in Butchers Row, Grantham on April 26.

However, Jake Taylor of Lymn Court, Grantham, denied committing the same public order offence in Beck Gardens, Grantham on January 9, and pleaded not guilty to three separate charges of assault by beating against the same woman. These are all alleged to have taken place in Grantham, at Earlesfield Lane on January 18, at Lymn Court on January 20, and at Beck Gardens on January 23.

Taylor’s trial will take place on August 26 at Grantham magistrates, when all the charges will be considered together.

In the meantime he remains on conditional bail not to contact by any means the defendant or witness, not to enter Beck Gardens, and is subject to a curfew to remain at home from 10pm to 7am each night.
