Grantham pensioner violently attacked by gang of three

A PENSIONER was attacked and robbed in the early hours of Sunday morning by three men who beat him while he lay on the ground.

The 67-year-old Grantham man was walking through Morrisons car park in Wharf Road, Grantham, at 3.30am when he was approached by three men in their early 20s.

Police say the men demanded cash from the pensioner and set about him after he refused. They punched and kicked him to the floor and continued the assault as he lay on the ground.

The attack left the victim with cuts to his head and face and he was taken to hospital.

Police are trying to trace the three men who they say are white and English.
