Halloween boozing led to driving ban

Have your say

NOT putting his seatbelt on cost an electrician his job and his licence when he was stopped by police on the A1 southbound at Grantham on October 30.

David Powell, of Kirkcroft, Bradford, had been drinking at a Halloween party the night before and thought he was ok to drive at 1.50pm. But he recorded a breath test of 73, which is twice over the limit.

He was disqualified from driving for 17 month and fined £350 plus costs.
