Homeless drunk is arrested after his toilet aggression

Have your say

A HOMELESS man who was arrested in Grantham last summer but never answered bail was picked up by police in Leicestershire.

Mark Scott, 33, was seen acting drunk and disorderly in Watergate in Grantham before the police were called.

When officers arrived they found Scott inside the toilet at Kwik-Fit where he was acting aggressively.

When Scott refused to calm down he was arrested at the scene for being drunk and disorderly.

Jill Armstrong, defending, told the court Scott had already spent the night in the cells and hoped that would prove punishment enough for the offence.

Chair of Magistrates’ Mr Tollemache said: “Your time spent in custody is going to be considered time served so you have now served your sentence.”

Scott was also charged with a bail act offence but no extra penalty was given.
