NOT paying his rent landed a father-of-two with a £390 bill after his landlord entered the house to find cannabis growing.

Paul Taylor, 38, was living in George Street, Grantham, on January 22, 2011 when police arrived to speak to him.

They were alerted to the drugs by his landlord.

When Taylor arrived home officers spoke to him and found a small bag of cannabis in his car.

Taylor, who now lives in Kelham Lane, Newark, denied possession and production of cannabis but was found guilty at trial.

He was fined £100 for possession, £150 for production and ordered to pay a contribution towards costs of £125.
