Leadenham man in court accused of causing death of Caythorpe couple by dangerous driving

An export manager from Leadenham appeared before Grantham magistrates today accused of causing the death of a Caythorpe couple by dangerous driving.

Andrei Botnari, 29, of Main Road, Leadenham, is accused of causing the death of Geoffrey Cook, 60, and Jill Trail, 59, both of Gorse Hill Lane, Caythorpe, by dangerous driving on the A607 at Fulbeck on September 28 last year.

Magistrates adjourned the case to Lincoln Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on April 7.

Mr Botnari was granted bail on condition that he report every Sunday to Grantham Police Station between 5pm and 8pm.
