A DRIVER who swerved across the road, hitting the kerb, was more than twice over the legal alcohol limit, a court heard.
Michal Pilarski, 32, of Wilks Road, Grantham, admitted drink driving in Barrowby Gate at 2.40am on February 25. He suffers from anxiety and depression and used to drink when stressed but in the last five years, until January, he had stopped completely. Then on February 25 he went to the pub and had glasses of wine and cider.
Rory Macmillan, defending, said: “It was completely out of character to go to the pub let alone on his own.”
Pilarski was bailed until March 21 while a report is prepared. He was given an interim driving ban.
