Man shouted at police officers

VERBALLY abusing police officers led to a 23-year-old man being arrested.

Craig Smith, of Uplands Drive, Grantham, was on a night out in Grantham when he began shouting foul abuse at two police officers.

Despite the efforts of a friend and the patience of police officers, Smith refused to calm down and was arrested.

Smith, who does not have a job and does not receive benefits, admitted a public order offence but said he could not remember the incident

He was also in breach of a six-month conditional discharge which was 11 days from expiring at the time of the offence. He was fined £65.
