A MAN stole a 32” widescreen television from a town centre supermarket because “he was bored and wanted a TV”.
Raymond Binnie, of Alexandra Road, Grantham, admitted theft after walking into Morrisons supermarket and walking out with a television worth £189.
Chris Pye-Smith, defending, Binnie, described the theft as “unsophisticated”.
He said: “He was living in a shared house and said he was bored and wanted a TV.
“It was a very unsophisticated offence.
“He seems to have gone into Morrisons, selected a box and walked out of the store with it.”
Sentencing was adjourned until November 16 for reports.
