A MOTHER-of-three used a pushchair to steal baby clothes from a Grantham supermarket.

Items worth £18 were draped across the handles of a pushchair by Eleshia Campbell, of Oxford Street, Grantham. She then walked out of Sainsbury’s without paying.

Campbell, 30, pleaded guilty.

Chris Pye-Smith, defending, told the court Campbell has suffered with depression for several years, a condition which was heightened at the time following the birth of her premature twin daughters.

He added: “On the date of the offence they were in hospital.

“She has now, and had at the time an awful lot on her plate.”

Magistrates gave her a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered her to pay £85 costs.
