No ticket proves costly for teen

TRAVELLING from Boston to Grantham without a ticket has cost an Ilford man £450.

Christian Paul, 19, did not appear in court but the case was heard in his absence.

Paul made the trip but was stopped by a policeman at Grantham who asked if he had a ticket or the means to buy a ticket. After answering no to both questions he then left the station through an area clearly signed as “no trespass”.

Paul was fined £350 for trespassing and for travelling without a ticket and must pay £85 costs and a £15 surcharge.
