PEOPLE wanting to contact the police for non-emergency matters are being asked to call a new three-digit number - 101
The new national number has been adopted by Lincolnshire Police this week.
The system will automatically connect callers to their local police station, wherever you are in the country.
Calls to the non-emergency number cost 15p, no matter the length of the call.
The new number is aimed at freeing up 999 lines for emergencies only.
