British Transport Police are appealing for help to identify a man they want to speak to after a suitcase was stolen on a London to Leeds train.

The police have released a CCTV picture of the man who left the 9.35am King’s Cross train at Grantham on Monday, June 6.

The man was pictured leaving the train at Grantham station and taking the case, which contained a Kindle and other personal items, with him.

PCSO Ben Whitaker, from BTP, said: “We’d like to speak to the man pictured who we believe may be able to help our enquiries into this theft. I’d urge anyone who knows his identity to contact us.”
