Three year ban after driving the wrong way

DISMISSIVE behaviour lost a man his driving licence after he drove the wrong way down a one way street.

Terrance Roberts, 46, of Commercial Road, Grantham, was stopped by an officer after he was seen ignoring the signs in Commercial Road.

Jim Clare, prosecuting, said Roberts seemed dismissive and said he was only driving 20 metres down the road.

As he was talking the officer smelt alcohol. He was given a breath test and was found to be more than twice over the limit. A check also revealed no insurance on the car.

Roberts was disqualified for three years, put on a 12 month community order with a drink impaired drivers programme and made to pay £85 costs.
