St Peter’s Hill was bustling today (Sunday), as families went along to St George on the Green.

Morris dancing, live music and fairground rides were just a handful of the attractions at the event, this year sporting a 1940s theme with volunteers dressed in 1940s fashion.

There was also a Petticoat Lane of stalls, while in the Guildhall ballroom was a craft fair.

A highlight of the day was this afternoon, when Grantham and District scouts and guides marched through the town centre for their traditional St George’s Day parade.

They are due to march from St Wulfram’s Church back through the town centre at 4.30pm.

* See the website again tomorrow for video footage of the event, plus Friday’s Journal will feature a picture special.
