Cyclist assaulted by four men near Grantham leisure centre

Police news.
Police news.

A cyclist was assaulted by four men last Sunday (September 6) while cycling near the Meres leisure centre.

Between 5pm and 5.30pm, the 31-year-old local man was cycling along a footpath that runs along the back of Clyde Court and the leisure centre in Grantham when he was approached by the men and assaulted. He suffered bruising as a result.

It is thought that members of the public may have been in the area at the time and investigating officers would like to hear from them to see if they have any information that could assist the inquiry.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 97 of September 7. Alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
