The senior partner of a firm of estate agents is celebrating after a 430 miles cycle ride helped raise £50,000 for charity.

Tim Downing, senior partner of Pygott & Crone, was part of a team of 16 cyclists who rode from Munich to Berlin in five days.

It was the ninth leg of Pygott and Crone’s Tour of Europe charity ride, which started in 2007. Since then the team has covered more than 3,000 miles and has now risen over £380,000 for charity.

The firm has branches across Lincolnshire, including in Watergate, Grantham.

The team was joined by the pro-cyclist and World Championship silver medallist, Tony Gibb.

Mr Downing said: “Crossing the finish line at Brandenburg Gate in Berlin was an incredible feeling after so many miles in the saddle and was the perfect end to our adventure. We are thrilled by how much we have raised.”

The team is supporting Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research (LLR), Action Against Cancer and The Dransfield Foundation. To donate visit http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/TimDowning
