Dance competition in aid of Rosie May Memorial Fund

Have your say

THE last Dance for Rosie May fund-raising competition takes place next weekend.

Rosie May, a girl from Bottesford who died in 2003, would have been 18 this year.

Her mum, Mary Storrie, said the upcoming competition is a “natural end to what has been an amazing tribute and unique experience for young talented performers who have been part of the Rosie May Academy”.

The dance event takes place on Sunday, July 10, at Belvoir High School, in Barkestone Lane, Bottesford.

All-day entry is £3 or £10 for a family ticket.

There is still space for group entries. For more information or to register, visit

Last year’s event raised £4,500 for the Rosie May Memorial Fund, which supports Sheffield Children’s Hospital, tsunami orphaned and abandoned children in Sri Lanka, and a feeding centre in Sri Lanka.
