Grantham Carnival weekend starts tonight with a lively evening of Jive and Salsa with the Beth Cresswell and Carousel Roadshow followed by tomorrow’s parade through the town.

There is free entry to the entertainment marquee tonight and free dance lessons at 7.30pm. Then dance the night away and enjoy a licensed bar.

This year’s parade is sponsored by Colas and includes a variety of groups from the town as well as dignitaries and, of course, our Carnival Princess and her attendants.

The parade will set off from the Market Place at noon and make its way down the High Street and St Peter’s Hill, turning left into St Catherine’s Road, then along Sandon Road, turning left into Hill Avenue and into Wyndham Park.
