Following last month’s construction of a new zebra crossing near Isaac Newton Primary School on Dysart Road, Grantham, more efficient beacons are being installed tomorrow (May 29).

Lincolnshire County Council’s Highways department say that during the installation of more efficient belisha beacons, there will be two-way traffic lights on the road and the path will be closed.

A spokesperson said: “The current beacons were a temporary measure to allow the crossing to be used while we waited for delivery of the beacons that we are installing tomorrow.”

The work is expected to last one day, and an alternative pedestrian route will be made available.
