SKDC is asking residents for their views on whether to freeze or increase its element of council tax for the next financial year.

The council has the choice to continue with the same council tax for the 2015/16 financial year or increase it by two per cent per year for a band D property.

This would equate to around £2.79 a year or a 5p per week increase.

If it increases its element of council tax, around £126,000 of additional income will be generated.

Residents can have their say by completing the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/consultation-counciltax by Sunday, January 25.
