Dog attack could easily have been avoided

Have your say

I WAS sad to read the account of the greyhound attack on Mr Jarvis’ labrador (Journal, December 30).

This was unusual behaviour for a greyhound. I cannot pass judgement regarding the attack as I do not know the full circumstances.

All dogs should be kept on leads when out walking. Owners of difficult dogs should take care their animals are under control and do not have the opportunity to attack or cause injury to fellow dog walkers’ animals.

The residents of Sandringham Drive who came forward to help Mr Davis save his dog displayed community spirit at its best. It was very uplifting to read about this on a cold, December morning.
