Home-Start volunteers receive training on domestic abuse.

Home-Start Grantham volunteers were visited by West Lincolnshire Domestic Abuse Service last week.

During one of their regular volunteer catch up sessions they gained valuable training regarding domestic abuse and the different forms it may take, as well as ways in which the West Lincolnshire Domestic Abuse Service can support those affected.

Home-Start volunteers benefit from ongoing training and support as part of their role to ensure that they are best placed to help the local families they support.

Home-Start Grantham provides support for local families through informal, family friendly activities including; home visits, family support groups, organised trips, outings and events.

If you’re a family with a child/children under the age of 11 in need of a helping hand - Home-Start has trained volunteers who will offer friendship, emotional and practical support through weekly home visits for as long as is needed.
