Don't miss out on rock opera at St Wulfram's Church in Grantham
There are plenty of local faces to look out for in the amateur production of the legendary rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar, which is currently being performed at St Wulfram’s Church, Grantham.
The MJH Production enjoyed its opening night last night and runs until Tuesday. It includes a live orchestra and innovative stage and lighting design.
Performances are at 7.45pm each evening, with an additional matinee show tomorrow (Saturday) at 2.30pm.
Portraying the last few days in the life of Jesus Christ as seen through the eyes of Judas Iscariot, the show remains as relevant and intensely moving as when first produced to huge controversy in the 1970s, with a 60-strong cast and live orchestra.
