Driver aged 91 killed in A46 crash is named

A man who died following a two-car collision on the A46 near Collingham yesterday has been named today as 91-year-old Harold Davies of Scarrington, Nottinghamshire.

The cars involved in the collision were a Volvo, driven by Mr Davies, and a Jaguar.

The collision happened just before 4.30pm yesterday afternoon. Mr Davies was pronounced dead at the scene.

The A46 was closed northbound between the Showground and Station Road, Collingham for several hours.
