A driver died in a crash involving two vehicles on the A52 between Grantham and Bottesford yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the scene just before 5.30pm where a silver Land Rover Discovery had been in collision with a grey Vauxhall Astra.

The driver of the Land Rover was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the Astra was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area and saw either the silver Land Rover or the grey Vauxhall Astra before the collision or saw the collision to contact them on 101.

Eight people have been killed on Lincolnshire’s roads so far this year.
