Driver taken to hospital after car crashes into Bingham house

A 65-year-old woman and her dog were led to safety by firefighters after a car crashed into their home.

The crash happened at 11pm in Fairfield Street in Bingham on Saturday. The driver of the car, in his 20s, was taken to hospital.

A number of parked cars were also damaged. The woman and her dog were unhurt.

Firefighters who attended the crash said the crash involved two other parked cars.

A witness who lives nearby said the front of the house was completely damaged. It has since been boarded up and cordoned off.
