Drivers warned to be careful on the roads in Grantham area as heavy showers continue




Police are warning drivers to be careful on the roads as the bad weather continues.

The police are warning of water on the sliproads at the A1 junction at Gonerby Moor and ask drivers to take care.

Although there are no reports of blocked roads in the Grantham area at the moment there have been warnings of possible flooding in Bottesford and Allington. The River Devon in Bottesford has flooded some roads.

The Met Office is warning of heavy showers continuing today and tomorrow, with the weather improving on Saturday.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service says it has dealt with 71 calls overnight, with 31 being attended to assist residents concerned about flood water.
