East Midlands trains through Grantham delayed after person hit by train

The rail line between Sleaford and Skegness has reopened after a person was hit by a train this morning.

The incident was reported at about 7am and the lines were temporarily closed between Sleaford and Boston and Sleaford and Spalding causing delays for Grantham passengers. Some trains were cancelled and others diverted.

National Rail says East Midlands Trains through Sleaford are expected to be delayed by about 25 minutes until 10.30am.
